Learning to do harder wakeboard moves like inverts can be frustrating and difficult. This page covers some of them from easier inverts to higher end tricks as well. One thing that a person can have trouble with, even though they know how to do the move, is being afriad to try the trick. I would know becuase I was like this when I was trying my first invert. The trick is to just do it. Once you try it once, you will no longer be afriad to get upside down or take a fall.(which do not hurt by the way)
The Heelside 360
As with any spin, you should try to edge all the way through the top of the wake so you go up first. But since you are spinning backside, you should start the spin as soon as you leave the wake and lean away from the boat a little so you don't get pulled over on your back and get major whiplash. Go for the handle pass early and lead the spin by looking back behind you for your landing. The hardest part about this move is the early handle pass, but that also makes the rest of the spin easy. The backside 360 is actually easier than the backside 180 because you land open to the boat and in your regular stance. If you're getting pulled off your edge, try leaning away from the boat more after you take off. Try some bunny-hop backside 180s first to get the feel for this kind of spin. Do the same cutting out from the inside of the wake, and then try wrapping a backside-3 wake-to wake after you get comfy. Backside spins are really fun and will open up a whole new series of moves that can eventually lead to taking some of your basic inverts to blind. Learn the spins first and then try adding them to your inverts after you feel good about them. Land wrapped or pass the handle. Mix it up. SOURCE:
The Backroll
The backroll is probably one of the easiest inverts there is. The reason it is so easy is becuase if you edge properly the board should start and carry you through the flip and you just have to hang on for the ride. Now, to do a backroll. Start out by taking a progressive appraoch to the heelside wake. You do not have to edge as hard as a regular jump. Once you hit the wake think about putting your head down and throw your hips away from the boat while keeping a constant edge. Pretend the wake keeps going up and edge right through it! Remember: UP AND AWAY. When you start goign to the wake and edging up and away put your chin on your leading shoulder to spot the landing while you are rotating around the rope. Make sure to keep the rope at your waist and tight at landing cuase it may give a tug. And one more thing. Ride on looking cool cuase you just nailed a pretty hard trick and just blew the door open for more inverts and skill!

The Tantrum
The Tantrum is basically a backflip going towards the opposite wake. It is a pretty simple trick to learn if you can do a backflip on a trampoline. Start by taking a hard cut to the heelside wake. The tricky part is when you are about 3 feet from the wake you have to let off of your edge and "flaten" the board out. Once you let off your ledge flaten out by standing tall. When you do this you should feel the wake start to hit the back of your board and force you backwards. At this time you throw your head back and push your chest up (just like doing a backflip on a tramp. Keep the handle in your front hand and let do with your back hand while rotating. Keep your eyes open to spot your landing and...stick it looking cool. Tantrums are very relaxed so dont force it....also, make sure that you cut hard of the bat. Taking baby cuts and landing on your head dosen't help any trust me...So dont do it.

The Tantrum to Blind
Again, you want to have a good wake-to-wake tantrum to do this move. Do a normal tantrum, and as you're coming down and spotting the landing, move your head and chest toward the opposite shore. It's important to look directly at the shoreline toward which you are moving to get your body upright and ready to ride this one away. At first, it may be easier to try to land wrapped instead of passing the handle
The FrontFlip
The frontflip is like a cartwheel. Start out and take a hard cut at the heelside wake. When you hit the wake, concentrate on pushing your back foot down and bringing your front knee up. When you do this thourgh the flip end over end just like a cartwheel. The landing is a little blind so just hope you land on your feet. Hehe, no just kidding. Practice this on a tramp to get it down!

The Scarecrow
To learn theScarecrow, it's probably best to start out with a medium edge, hard enough to clear the wake by a few feet, but not so hard you're out of control. So cut out wide about 15-20 feet, then start your progressive edge back in slowly. As you approach the wake, stand tall and back off your edge a bit and stand tall and wait for the wake to pop you up in the air. If you have waited long enough for the pop, you should get shot up in the air pretty good. Begin the Scarecrow rotation by rotating the board towards the boat and looking up and over your front shoulder while twisting your shoulders in the same direction. When you time this right with the pop, you should start rotating without much effort. As you start to flip over, keep the rope in tight to your body (face), and try to have the board go up and over you, instead of beind you like an S-bend. The best Scarecrows look like you're coming out of a switch front flip when you come out of the rotation like the rider in the picture. By this point you should be thinking about looking for the water, and letting go with your front hand to make sure that you land switch in order to a Scarecrow instead of a Front Roll. If you're going to go for a grab on the Scarecrow, you definitely need to let go with your front hand right off the wake. After spotting your landing, just bend your knees, and land with the handle in your back hand (which is now your front hand since you did a 180). If you're time sticking the landing, try doing really bit toeside 180s to get used to landing in this position.

The Mobe
Cut all the way out to the side of the boat, like you're going to do a big roll to revert. You need a good progressive edge and lots of speed into the wake, and you need to really dig your edge into the wake to get a big pop. Do a roll to revert, but instead of letting the handle out to land, keep pressing it into your waistline the whole time. Never try to throw the handle to make the last 180, you'll miss it half the time and wipeout hard. Just keep your hands moving around your waist and the handle in tight and you'll keep spinning the whole 360 degrees.

The Crow Mobe
Work on doing your crows wake to wake first. Only a handful of guys can take a crow mobe into the flats. Take a shorter cut, but still edge hard and then come off the edge right before the wake, standing completely tall all the way through the top. Try to even give a little push off the water with your toes so that you go straight up. Once you do, initiate your crow mobe with the handle by pulling it into your back hip, and then just keep thinking, "spin." Even though you're only going wake to wake, you want to think about spotting your landing a few feet outside the wake you're traveling toward, so that you'll keep your head and shoulders moving in that direction and won't come up "short" on the landing.

The Whirlybird
It's a good idea to have a solid tantrum before you try a whirlybird, meaning one in which you land wake-to-wake every time. The whirlybird requires two things that are different from a tantrum, though. First, as you come off the top of the wake, throw your back shoulder a little harder toward the shore to which you are headed. Second, throw your head hard across your back shoulder; this will help you complete the 360 rotation in the air and spot the landing. Spot it just like a tantrum and come down with your knees soft.
